About this journal

I've been meaning to write this for years.

Not this page specifically, all of it. The thoughts, the observations, the things I've stumbled onto while trying to figure out how to live without constantly feeling like I'm doing it wrong. I kept putting it off. Classic.

This is not a mindfulness blog in the traditional sense. You won't find breathing exercises or five steps to a calmer morning. What you will find is my honest take on things, what balance actually looks like when you strip away the Instagram version of it, what has worked for me, and why I think some of the mainstream mindfulness advice misses the point.

I'm not a guru. I'm a husband, a dad, a developer, an immigrant navigating life in a country that isn't mine by birth. I've picked up a few things along the way that shifted how I approach situations, and I want to share those. Not as fixes. Not as the answer. Just as a different angle that might, just might, be useful to someone else.

What works for me won't work for everyone. I know that. The goal was never to hand you a solution. It's to show you how I think through things, and maybe give you a different lens to look through yourself.

Welcome to the search.

Late Night Thoughts of a Dad

One more thing worth mentioning. This site has a section called "Late Night Thoughts of a Dad" that sits a little outside the main journal. It's where I put the rawer stuff, the observations about the world my daughter is growing up in, politics, people, things that don't fit neatly into a mindfulness framework but that I can't stop thinking about either. Same honest tone, just with sharper edges.

Consider yourself warned.
